Install the extension. That’s it. When you watch a video from a Cygn-verified creator, a small gold badge appears on the video player with the creator’s verified identity. Hover to see their Notable status, verified social links, and when the content was signed. Zero taps. Zero clicks. Fully automatic.

How Detection Works

  1. 1. Extension watches for YouTube video page loads
  2. 2. Reads the video description text (visible DOM, no API key needed)
  3. 3. Regex matches cygn\.me\/[a-zA-Z0-9]+
  4. 4. Calls GET /api/v1/signing/verify-hash?hash=...
  5. 5. If verified, injects a badge overlay on the player (5-second API response cache)
  6. 6. Badge shows signer name, Notable tier, and links to full verification page

Privacy First

No account needed

The extension works without any Cygn account. Just install and browse.

No tracking

We never track your browsing. The extension only activates on pages with cygn.me links.

Open source

The extension code will be fully open source, auditable by anyone.

Minimal permissions

Only requests permission to read page content on supported platforms. Nothing else.
